 Tanning Chemicals

Bacteriacide
Use in pickle solutions, pastes or anything else subject to mildew. Add a couple of ounces to clean water to soften freezer-burned fish or animal skins. Qt. $9.50
Pro-Tan Soap
PH balanced, concentrated soap for washing skins prior to or after pickling. Use with Bacteriacide to soften dry, salted skins. Qt. $6.75
Sure Cure
Paul Witt's' spray on tanning formula. Remove heavy flesh and fat, turn ears and split lips. Salt cape and drain for 3-4 hours. Wash cape, shave and apply Sure Cure. Tumble and mount or freeze and mount later.

Used to neutralize acid solutions.

Lone Star Taxidermy Supply exclusive. Excellent adhesion. No priming required. Rough up form with sand paper or wire brush. Apply glue with brush (use sparingly). Clean up with soap and water. Not for use with dry preservative.

E-Z Mount Hide Paste
Specially formulated to act as a lubricant to allow you to slide and adjust the skin. It air dries so that within a couple of days it sets up enough to model under the skin. The special adhesive then bond the skin to the form. Pinning is usually not necessary. Powder, mixed with water.

Apoxie Clay
